Our research focuses on five key areas:


1. Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods to the processing of biomedical images and the investigation of protein conformational changes


2. QM/MM and Metadynamics simulations of enzymatic reactions


3. Simulation and analysis of coevolution in proteins


4. X-ray crystallography of chaperones of F1F0 ATPase and enzymes involved in polysaccharide biosynthesis


5. Metabolic simulation of bacterial and eukaryotic cells and cellular communities


  • Coevolution maps recorded by our Matlab program MSAVOLVE during the in silico evolution of a protein from a hypothetical ancestor.
