Development of this course has progressed over a period of several years from a seed series of lectures on biomathematics given in 2013 by the Course Director at a Summer School held at the Univ. of Bari, Italy. In its current form the course consists of 54 hours of theory lectures and 30 hours of computer laboratories. Each lecture introduces the theoretical foundations of different computational methods used in the interpretation of scientific data, and analyzes the implementation of each method using the Matlab computational platform.
