Domenico Gatti’s Laboratory: structural and computational biology

Our research focuses on four key areas:

1. Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods to the processing of biomedical images (e.g., microscopy, radiology)

2. QM/MM and Metadynamics simulations of enzymatic reactions

3. Simulation and analysis of coevolution in proteins

4. X-ray crystallography of chaperones of F1F0 ATPase and enzymes involved in polysaccharide biosynthesis

  • Coevolution maps recorded by our Matlab program MSAVOLVE during the in silico evolution of a protein from a hypothetical ancestor.
